Web-Based Email

Web-Based Email is an email client (like Yahoo, AOL, or Hotmail) that allows you to access your email messages from any computer with an Internet connection, including an LAUSD classroom or office computer.

Web-Based Email comes with a Light Version of the email client that can be used with low-bandwidth connections, such as dialup, and a Desktop Notifier that allows you to receive instant notifications for new messages. You set when, how often, and how many notifications you would like to receive, and you may add up to five remote e-mail addresses to your Desktop Notifier!

Additional features include:

  • spam filtering
  • virus protection
  • remote message retrieval
  • personal signature/letterhead
  • personal auto-response
  • personal address book/calendar
  • rich-text formatting
  • message highlighting
  • spell checker
  • 20 MB storage

Web-Based Email Accounts

The Disability Support Program, through our LAUSD-DSP.net hosting with ontheCom.net, is able to provide e-mail accounts to our Teachers, Support Services Coordinators, and WorkAbility II Employment Specialists.
